Connection
A connection is a tool surface provided by an external integration, such as GitHub, Slack, or an HTTP API, that an agent or assistant can act through.
When an AI needs to do something outside the workspace itself, post a Slack message, open a GitHub issue, call a third-party API, it needs a defined way to reach that external service. A connection is that defined way: a configured link to an outside system that exposes real actions the AI can take.
Assistant
Connections show up on the Abilities tab, where the capabilities attached to a workspace or node live. One naming note worth knowing: the tab is called Abilities, but a single integration itself is a connection, not an ability. That older, singular use of the word has been retired in favor of connection.
