Agent
An agent is a durable AI worker with its own identity and scope that owns real, ongoing work rather than just answering questions.
Most people's mental model of AI is a chat window: you ask, it answers, and the conversation ends there. An agent is different. It has a standing identity in the system it works in, a defined scope of responsibility, and the ability to carry work forward over time instead of only reacting to a single request. That is what makes it a worker rather than a tool.
Assistant
In Masterforce, agents are party members. They can be mentioned directly in chat, assigned active work, and woken to run in the background when there is something to do. A system agent ships with the product and works across workspaces; a workspace agent is defined by your own team and scoped into your org structure the same way a person is.
