Job
A job is one background execution run for a party member, a single attempt at moving a piece of active work forward.
A job isn't the same thing as the responsibility itself. Active work is ongoing; a job is one concrete run against it, the AI equivalent of sitting down and actually doing a shift of work.
Assistant
Jobs belong to agents, not the assistant. When an agent is triggered, whether by assignment, a mention, or the orchestrator waking it, that run is a job with its own lifecycle, from start to a real result.
