Skill

A skill is knowledge an AI reads on demand, a spec, template, or playbook it consults mid-task, rather than a standing tool it executes.

Not every capability an AI needs is a tool call. Sometimes what it needs is context: how your team writes a proposal, what a deploy checklist looks like, the format a certain kind of document should follow. A skill is that reference material, made available for the AI to pull in exactly when it is relevant rather than baked into every prompt.

Assistant

Skills in Masterforce live alongside your other content: specs, templates, and playbooks that an agent or the assistant can read when a task calls for them. They sit on the Abilities surface next to connections, but they are not tools in the executable sense; they are knowledge.
